A Colon Cleanse Diet

Once you start thinking about a colon cleanse, most people usually start wondering if a straight forward colon cleanse diet might be the place for them to start.

The problem is that not many people know what a colon cleanse diet is and so obviously they have no idea how to go about implementing one.  Well the first thing you need to understand is what you should be eating and drinking and what you should be avoiding.

Colon Cleanse Diet Dos

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables in as raw a form as you can manage.  You can cook your veggies, but please don’t over cook them.
  • Add unprocessed nuts and pulses to your diet as a healthy and nutritious snack.
  • Drink plenty of fresh clean water, if you can drink more than 2 liters per day then all the better.
  • Bulk up your system with some good old fiber and roughage – leafy vegetables are a great way to go here!
  • Add wholegrain foods to your diet – try some simple boiled brown rice.

Colon Cleanse Diet Don’ts

  • Avoid processed foods such as ready meals and take-aways.  You should also avoid fatty foods.
  • Sugary foods are a big no nos because of the way that sugar is made and the ingredients you can often find in sugary foods.
  • Dairy foods are to be avoided when you’re looking at eating a colon cleanse diet.
  • No alcohol, tea or coffee – these are diuretics and contain a host of chemicals and synthetics.
